Goodrich Construction now provides Infrared residential and commercial building inspections using a high definition, thermal imaging camera. This camera allows us to perform a powerful noninvasive method to monitor and diagnose the condition of a building. This camera helps to quickly identify problem areas that can't be seen by the naked eye - eliminating destructive probing methods. Photos taken are used to provide tangible proof of findings, and are included in a professional insurance claim or home inspection report.
The Department of energy suggests a thermal home inspection before purchasing a home. Having a home inspection, including an thermal image inspection, will reveal where there is energy being wasted in your home, so improvements can be made to enhance safety, comfort, and save on heating expenses. The different colors of the image help determine different temperatures in your structure.
Thermal Imaging technology can help with...
- Building diagnostics - detect heating & cooling loss or moisture problems due to insulation deficiencies or construction issues.
- Roofing - detect water damage & leaks beneath the surface of the roof allowing the opportunity repair the section before it continues to spread.
- Electrical - detect potential circuit overload or areas of unusually high electrical resistance, allowing electricians to replace the circuit before failure, eliminating
costly downtime or further damage to the electrical system.
